The Mesa Boogie Stiletto Ace is a 50-watt amplifier that gives you a wide range of Class A/B tone. The Stiletto Ace uses five 12AX7 Pre-Amp tubes, two EL34 Power Tubes, and one 5U4 Rectifier Tube, so you know you’ll get that popular British sound, but the amp will also give you amazing clean sounds. The Ace is available as a head, 1×12 Combo, and 2×12 Combo. The combos have a closed back, are fan cooled, and come standard with one or two 12-inch V30 speakers.
This amp has two channels, each with three modes. Channel 1 has the lower amount of gain, and is where you will get your clean tone. The three modes available on this channel are Fat Clean, Tite Clean, and Crunch. Channel 2 starts out where Channel 1 leaves off. It has higher gain and gives you the options of Crunch, Tite Gain, and Fluid Drive modes. The Fluid Drive mode has the most gain, and also has great attack. Each channel has its own controls for Gain, Treble, Mids, Bass, Presence, and Volume.
Mesa has a patented Switchable Rectifier that is featured on the Stiletto Ace. This lets you choose between Tube and Silicon Diode Rectifiers, allowing you to further control your tone output. Dual Rectification with Recto Tracking is also included, and has the ability to be assigned to a certain channel.
